In order to create this fragrance, Guerlain House Perfumer Thierry Wasser was inspired by the riches of the East and used sandalwood, one of the rarest and most expensive components in the perfume industry. A study of subtle contrasts between the dark notes of leather and oud wood and the brilliant flowery notes of jasmine and rose, this beguiling note is amplified in a new woody oriental scent. The result is a strangely intriguing fragrance experience.
